Outside My Window ~ 9.19.2011

Outside my window…is a mild albeit mostly cloudy Monday afternoon.  Our temperature during the noon hour is 72°F….close to the forecast high of 73°F.  We had rain all weekend…not torrential rains, light and steady for the most part.  Tomorrow will be warmer with a forecast high of 80°F and a chance of thunderstorms.  With the exception of a few warmer days in the middle of the week, we will experience more days like today over the next week or so.  I’m loving me some cooler temperatures….don’t even mind the rain showers.

I am thinking…or maybe I should say I am hoping beyond hope that the repairs for my daughter’s car is not going to give me a stroke.  It died on me Friday night ~ after all repair shops had closed of course ~ I took today off to get it taken care of.  Now I’m waiting on the verdict from the repair shop…..gulp.

I am glad…that my youngest found a part-time job and was hired this past week.  She has been looking for some time but fell in that gap that most teens find themselves in, you know the one….they won’t hire you because you don’t have any experience but you can’t get  any experience because no one will hire you.

From my kitchen…is a delicious Gorgonzola cheese spread for Italian bread…it goes great with your pasta and Bolognese sauce.  Click either link….and enjoy! 

I am working on…the photographs from the Emerald Isle wedding on September 10th.  My goal is to complete them all by this weekend…a little ahead of my usual schedule but then I know there is an anxious couple waiting to see them.  🙂

I am going to…attempt to enjoy this day off and not think about car repairs.  I don’t know how successful I will be since that has been the only thing on my mind all weekend.  I literally thought my head would explode at one point because of all the questions and “what am I going to do if” running through my mind.  It was exhausting.

I am hearing…the ticking of my many clocks….an episode of “Supernatural” on television….the hum of the refrigerator….an otherwise quiet house.

Plans for the week include…going to court tomorrow as a witness for a work related case ~ I’m just hoping I don’t have a case of the “help me I feel like I might pass out nerves” if I have to testify…I’m prone to that if I have to speak in front of  large groups by the way.  Hoping to get the car repaired without needing body parts for payment…catching a ride with a co-worker for a couple of days if need be so my youngest  will have a way to get to her new job this week…working from home on Friday.

One of life’s little pleasures…cars that never break down ~ I know, I’m reaching here but think of the possibilities if someone could build a car that didn’t.  They would be my new best friend.

From my camera…something relaxing ~ to ease my mind.  This is a lily from a plant I have had for years that has bloomed only one other time.  I put it outside this summer ~ part of my save cash on flowers project, I took a lot of my inside plants outside…..and every flipping one of them went nuts this year.  Plants + outside + only watered with rain water = very happy plants.  There are several blooms on this lily this year….here is one ~ texture has been added to the image but brushed off the lily itself ~
