Outside My Window ~ 9.2.2012
Outside my window…is another rainy Sunday evening. Rain…more rain. It appears as if Isaac remnants have finally moved far enough east to impact our area. I saw a fairly confusing forecast earlier this week that said part of the remnants would split from the main storm and move east {what we are experiencing now} and the rest would follow {expected tomorrow}. Our forecast is for scattered storms for the week. I’m not sure how much I believe them….last Sunday it said we would be in the mid 80’s this past week…they were wrong, it was more like the very high 80’s and low 90’s with a heavy dollop of humidity on top of that. I can understand how, the ground is still saturated from our flooding storms last Saturday and continued rain for the early part of the week….it has been like a huge steam bath outside. For those of you unfamiliar with heat and humidity ~ imagine a very hot day and as soon as you step outside the door, someone tosses a heavy, wet towel on you….yes, it is as lovely as it sounds.
I am thinking…how much I love three day weekends! 
I’m also thinking about how I kept thinking it was Saturday all day today ~ guess because I knew I didn’t have to go to work tomorrow.
I am glad…that I switched Internet providers and decided to bundle when I did. I switched to FIOS and have digital television now ~ yes, I know welcome to the 21st century Debbie! I resisted for a long time because I thought the price was a bit ridiculous…but I got a good deal and couldn’t be happier. My Internet is lightening compared to the DSL I had before and I’m excited with all the different television channels I can get now….especially the two horror channels I now get!
I am going…to continue these daily walks with the dog because I love the exercise I have been getting. This little dog could probably walk all day but we are only going about a mile and a half each day….more on the weekends because we go both in the morning and the evening. I actually look forward to them and will be building up the distance as time goes by.
From my kitchen…was a new recipe for chicken and cheese enchiladas. Not bad but before I share I want to make a few changes and see if that improves it. I decided this morning I was going to make myself a nice breakfast tomorrow morning….eggs, grits, bacon and maybe even some biscuits. Once upon a time a big breakfast was something we did on a holiday morning….except the girls generally requested waffles or pancakes. So while I’m going to be by myself, after I walk the dog I’m going to make a nice breakfast.
I am hearing…the ticking of my many clocks….Sex and the City on television….no rain at the moment.

Plans for the week include…enjoying my day off tomorrow….working from home on Tuesday….catching up on my web workshops….posting the new free desktop calendar for September ~ I need to get a little better about getting these things out on the first of the month rather than a few days in.
One of life’s little pleasures…days off with pay from work…relaxing time.
