Night photography is something relatively new to me too but I would say the number one trick Brittany…a tripod! If you have a camera that allows you to, you need to be shooting on manual and set your shutter speed incredibly slow. My shutter speed on this image was 6 seconds…without a tripod it would have been a huge blur ~ with it, I got a nice image. If you have a remote unit to trigger the shutter, even better…but if you don’t, use a self timer ~ the less you touch the camera after set up, the better it will be. My other settings if I remember right were ISO 640 and f/22 for a star sparkle. Good luck….I would love to see some of your work. 🙂
