    A Bit Dry

The air in my office is so dry, my skin feels like this wood looks!  Cracked, dry and in desperate need of moisture!!  Aging texture by Skeletalmess applied….and one other by him but I didn’t copy the name when I saved it….Drat!

    Little Creek In The Forest

This little creek winds through the forest and is usually not much…..but due to the mass quantities of rain this winter, it is deeper and flowing quite nicely now.   My plan was to get a few more photos, but the floor of the forest is like a huge sponge….far too soggy to go exploring on.

    Keepsakes

Keepsakes ~ a gift that evokes memories of a person or event with which it is associated I think most people collect keepsakes….pressed flowers from someone special….a piece of jewelry….a cuddly toy.  When you gaze upon these items, they remind you of a special date, a special person, a special moment.  I have several such keepsakes from my childhood, my children and my grandparents.  My friend Tracey at These Nine Acres wrote a post about a keepsake from her grandmother.   I began to think about some of the keepsakes I have from my grandmothers. Lake Maury and The Lion’s Bridge

Last night, I was organizing some files on my computer when I ran across the folder of photos I had taken one afternoon at Lion’s Bridge.  I had posted the above image and mentioned that I would write more about him ~ and then I promptly forgot.  I need to work on that!  🙂 Lion’s Bridge is actually a dam.  Information regarding Lion’s Bridge as taken from the Mariner Museum web site: Known as the Lion’s Bridge, the dam forming the lake provides a breathtaking view of the James River, as well as a family gathering place to enjoy the Museum Park. The beauty of the dam is enhanced by…

    She Did Great!

Not one of my best shots but it was taken in a hurry.  If you recall, I mentioned yesterday that I would be taking my youngest out on actual roads to practice driving today.  Fourteen miles down the Colonial Parkway…she did great….I’m very proud of her.  🙂
