Outside My Window ~ 10.23.2011
Outside my window…is another Sunday afternoon coming to a close. It is 5:40 in the early evening here…we still have sunshine and blue skies…a temperature of 61°F…and according to the Weather Channel there is 41 minutes left of daylight. Our forecast low tonight is 48°F…better bring in some of my houseplants that I had taken back outside, that is kind of chilly for them. The sun is setting much earlier ~ if I want to photograph more sunsets I better do so…after daylight savings time kicks in it will be a lot harder to get one. I have some amazing ones to share with you later this week. I’m thinking…

Not tonight…
I know I said more Melbourne Beach photos today…except not tonight. I am past tired this evening…and not even sure why. Oh well…..in the next couple of days I will share more photographs with you. For this evening….I love how my oldest looks so tiny in comparison to the Atlantic Ocean and never ending blue sky. I titled this image “In Awe”.

A few more from the plane…
I know…get on to the good stuff….but first you have to tolerate a few more from the plane trip to Florida. 🙂 I enjoyed photographing from the plane this trip ~ probably because it was digital rather than film. When I would travel during the days of film, I would snap a photograph here and there from the plane…but not too many because they were typically risky shots. You were shooting through a fairly dirty window to begin with and the lighting can be tricky at times. This time, I was digital and I could delete the ones that didn’t make the cut. You can still see some window grime in some of these images, but these were…

Outside My Window ~ 10.16.2011
Outside my window…is a beautiful fall morning. It is close to 11:00 this morning and we have blue skies, sunshine and a mild temperature of 64°F. Our forecast high today is 75°F with zero chance of rain. A vastly different forecast than I experienced last Sunday while in Florida. For those who aren’t up on current events, last Sunday I was in Melbourne Beach, Florida were we experienced tropical temperatures along with some howling wind and torrential downpours during the system with no name that moved inland. Quite a ride…but it had all cleared out by Monday morning and we were able to enjoy a little bit of time in…

Thursday Thoughts ~ Florida Edition
Some of you knew I went to Melbourne Beach, Florida for a few days this past Saturday. My oldest daughter flew down with me. The weather wasn’t quite what we thought we would get when we visited the sunshine state. We arrived Saturday morning sometime after a torrential downpour but before the wind and rain went completely nuts. The weather began to go downhill Friday evening but fortunately let up enough Saturday morning about the time our plane was due to land. This was the view out of the front window of their home Saturday afternoon….looking north. Riding out a “no name” tropical storm on a barrier island can be…
