    It’s Spring!!

For all of us in the northern hemisphere, March 20th  marks the Vernal Equinox, the beginning of Spring.  This is one of the two days each year when the night and daylight hours are virtually equal.  The other happens in September.  This is a time of rebirth and celebration as the earth awakens from her winter slumber, flowers and trees bloom and the temperatures begin to warm the ground and our bodies.  Of course, all of us who suffer from allergies will be sneezing a bit more and in between the spring rains everything will be covered with pollen….but Skippity Doo Dah ~ it’s getting warm again folks!!    🙂 It all happens at 1:32 p.m. EDT….let the celebrations begin!!

    Outside My Window ~ 4.19.09

Outside My Window…partly sunny at the moment, but more clouds are expected to build throughout the day.  It is about 60 degrees right now with a forecasted high of 71.  Oddly enough, our air quality is “good”……..I would think with all the pollen coating everything, not so much in the good range.  If you want to get an idea of what I’m talking about, I posted a couple of photos of my Jeep coated in pollen on my blog yesterday ~ “Welcome to Virginia“. I am thinking…about all the things I want to get accomplished today.  It is quite a list so I’m hopeful I can get through most…

    She Needs You……..

She needs you………cast your vote for Mother Earth on Saturday, March 28th, at 8:30 p.m.! For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.
