    Outside My Window…is the ending to a marvelous day today.  The temperature was mild….a  nice breeze with blue skies and sunshine.  We had rain showers yesterday morning but it cleared up nicely by the afternoon, which carried over into today.  I spent a large part of the afternoon working in the backyard….weeding and planting a few new flowers.  The tomato plants I picked up last weekend are doing really well ~ one of the reasons I love summer….fresh veggies are so plentiful! I am thinking…how incredibly fast the time goes by during the weekends.  The work days seem to drag on forever ~ even when I’m swamped with work.  I…

    Farmers Market

    I went to the Farmer’s Market today……Dean and Don’s Farmer’s Market.  I had not been to this market in quite some time so I thought I would stop in.  I think I may make a habit of doing so in the future as well………. I picked up a few things while there…..the produce looked great ~                   They had melons everywhere….. And green peanuts……….which means boiled peanuts!  I made some this evening……… I could have spent a fortune on home grown goodies……..but I managed to keep it reasonable.  🙂

    Treasures Found

    Earlier last week, I decided I would check out a couple of estate sales this past Saturday.  This isn’t something I do every weekend…..in fact, I can’t remember the last time I did go.  😕 Anyways……I have been inspired to create some new things lately using old, vintage items.  Recycle is the mantra of the nation (and possibly the world for that matter)……so I’m doing my part.  I’m pretty good about recycling my trash and other items at home, so I thought I would venture out and see what I could find.  Trying to do my part and be ‘green’.  I was interested in fabrics, specifically lace and unusual fabric…
