Outside My Window ~ 4.21.2013
Outside my window…is the end of another weekend. At around 11:00 this evening we are at 47°F with clear skies. The weather channel says it feels like 43°F and I’m wondering if I should be worried about the house plants I took outside a couple of weeks ago. I guess it is too late to worry about that now…I hope they will be alright. We had an absolutely beautiful, albeit chilly, weekend. There was a nice overnight soaking rain on Friday and into the early hours Saturday morning that washed the thick layer of pollen away. Outside My Window ~ 11.18.2012
Outside my window…is a cold and windy evening. The day started out with blue skies but windy and cool…the clouds moved in and it ended with gray skies, windy and cold. Right now we are about 54°F and the winds are at 16 mph with gusts up to 23 mph. There is a coastal flood advisory in effect until 10:00 tomorrow morning. No rain this weekend but there is some forecast for around midnight tonight with our low temperatures a couple of degrees cooler than we are right now. Tomorrow will be about the same as today, a high in the mid 50’s and lows in the mid 40’s. Thanksgiving…

Down On The Farm
I think I have mentioned my new rain barrel once or twice right? 🙂 Well the class to build this wonder was held at Bluebird Gap Farm in Hampton, Virginia. They had some every day farm critters so after our rain barrel adventure, I took my camera and snapped a few. The white peacock, before showtime……. you saw the after, but just in case you missed it…. He, or she, calmly stepped off the stump….walked up to where I was standing and viola! And modeled, twirling several times before they let out this bizarre type call, folded the feathers back into place and walked back to the stump. Kind of surreal actually….but so glad…

Outside My Window ~ 10.04.09
Outside My Window…is a beautiful morning with blue skies and no clouds in sight. The temps now are at about 68F at 9:45 a.m. When I walked out the door this morning at 6:15, it was around 61F and dark. I was off to Buckroe Beach this morning to renew my spirit and take some sunrise photos. When I arrived, it was at that moment in the morning when it is neither dark nor light…..that morning twilight period. Beautiful. In front of me, a sunrise waiting to happen, at my back was a beautiful full moon that had recently risen over the horizon. There were not many people around….a few…
