Catawba Visitors
While visiting my parents earlier this month, I was able to take a few photos of some visitors to the house. I wanted to share them with you today….. Baby blue birds in the house…..my father carefully opened the house so we could see if they had left the nest. We were pleasantly surprised to see the birds still in residence. They kept so very still while we were there ~ except the little guy in front did flinch a bit when I took this photo. Of course, there were hummingbirds….. There were butterflies visiting the butterfly bushes….. ….and our friend the Polyphemus Moth….it was brand new…. This little green guy…..each morning…

Little Friends
I have been going through the many, many photos I took while visiting my parents in Catawba, South Carolina. Many of those photos were of the hummingbirds that visit their feeders. Sadly, I didn’t experience hummers….but it was late in the year by the time I hung my feeder. I was very hopeful for this year….I would get mine out early. I was timing it with the growth of a large bush…

Outside My Window ~ 8.16.09
Outside My Window…is a nice morning……sun is shining….a slight breeze…..81F with 68% humidity. Yea, I’m wishing the humidity wasn’t that high. Wow, I just saw on the weather channel we have had almost 4 inches of rain so far this month…and I have noticed the tropics are picking up ~ three now. We are heading into the real hurricane season now. It officially starts on June 1st, but things usually won’t get interesting until mid August and they can get even more interesting as we approach mid September. It is perfect weather for storms to blossom in the ocean. For people who live near the east or gulf coast, the…
