    The theme for week 12….From the Jewelry Box. I wanted to feature the box instead. My father was in the Navy when I was growing up and was deployed more than once. He brought back some beautiful Japanese dolls in glass cases when he came home….. …I don’t know what ever became of those dolls. One time, he came home with my very first “big girl” jewelry box. With the ballerina that stood up and twirled when you opened the lid, twirling to the sweet Japanese melody that plays from the music box within. The jewelry box is old ~ maybe very close to 50 years old…. the ballerina no longer twirls…. but the…

    Our theme for week 10 of Project 52 was Childhood Toys.  Many, many moons have passed since I was a child and unfortunately I have no toys from my childhood,  but I do have this Raggedy Ann doll that my paternal grandmother made for me when I was in my 20’s.   I didn’t have any children at the time, in fact she was beginning to wonder if I ever would.  She decided I needed a baby doll and I happily accepted when she offered.  I did finally have two daughters and their great-grandmother got the chance to see them before she left us. The End Of The Letter The paper is yellow and worn…. …the edges are frayed … …written in the hand of a child…. …and sent to her grandparents…. almost 50 years ago. Project 52 suggested theme this week was “words”…..mine is a letter from me to my grandparents.

    The theme for Project 52 this week was Muse. This was a bit tough this week…..so I went with this image of Cailin. I took this during a dinner outing with my mother, sister and daughter this past week. With my Nifty 50. At Applebees. They have the.worst.lighting.ever. A weird, orange alien like glow. Lightroom helped me bring it back to life….and that made me smile. {Fabulous program by the way}

    Soothing repetition was the theme for week 4 in my Project 52. I thought I would give it an old, dreamy look…. ….but up close it just kind of looks blurry.  😐 Oh well….this is one of my favorite clocks…. ….my soothing repetition is the ticking of my many clocks. Yea, I have a few in the house but sadly no Coo Coo clocks. I would like a Coo Coo clock someday. I couldn’t help but think today as I posted this… …..I have gone from one extreme to the other. I went from posting something each and every day to barely at all. I need to find a happy medium…
