Free Texture
I was feeling a little uninspired this evening…not so much to say I suppose. I was out shooting one afternoon and shot some texture images…this is one….. I used it on this image….a black walnut a squirrel had snacked on… ….and here is an after image….blending mode was soft light…. Subtle at this blending mode…but it gives you an idea of what it will do. You can get your texture here. It is a large 300dpi file ~ 3600 x 2500 ~ so it may take a few minutes to open up. Postcards From The Past
While I was cleaning out a closet, I ran across an old box of photographs and mementos. I found this old postcard inside the box… Pretty cool huh? Take a look at the back and the cost to mail this card… The back of this card is available as a free download for personal use….1660 x 1030 @ 300dpi….click here if you would like a copy. This is a .png file. Click the link and choose “save” or “save as”. Make sure you take note where the file is saved. The file you download will not have my logo on it and the edges are cleaner. 🙂

A Texture/Overlay Freebie
I was trying to decide what to post tonight as I played around with a few texture images I had when it morphed into this…. I used it in this image below as an example….first the original photograph Not a bad photograph…and now after I added the texture/overlay… My recipe for the “after” photograph was original image and one layer of Prototype 1 – blending mode is multiply @ 75% opacity…a second layer of Prototype 1 on top of the first layer – blending mode is overlay @ 40% opacity.
