Indian River ~ Florida
The final images from my trip to Florida earlier this month. One last look at the Atlantic then on to the river. After spending some time at the beach and shopping, we made our way back to the house in time to walk to one of the piers not to far from my parents house. I wanted to watch the sunset over the Indian River. We weren’t the first ones there…. According to a local, he is here every night at sunset…waiting…. …watching…. …enjoying the show with the rest of us. 🙂 While we wait…a view to the South of us…a storm appears to be building here and to our…

Outside My Window ~ 10.23.2011
Outside my window…is another Sunday afternoon coming to a close. Our forecast low tonight is 48°F…better bring in some of my houseplants that I had taken back outside, that is kind of chilly for them. Not tonight…
I know I said more Melbourne Beach photos today…except not tonight. I am past tired this evening…and not even sure why. Oh well…..in the next couple of days I will share more photographs with you. For this evening….I love how my oldest looks so tiny in comparison to the Atlantic Ocean and never ending blue sky. I titled this image “In Awe”.

Thursday Thoughts ~ Florida Edition
Some of you knew I went to Melbourne Beach, Florida for a few days this past Saturday. My oldest daughter flew down with me. The weather wasn’t quite what we thought we would get when we visited the sunshine state. We arrived Saturday morning sometime after a torrential downpour but before the wind and rain went completely nuts. The weather began to go downhill Friday evening but fortunately let up enough Saturday morning about the time our plane was due to land. This was the view out of the front window of their home Saturday afternoon….looking north. Riding out a “no name” tropical storm on a barrier island can be…

Oh Danny Boy
**Update** ~ Danny fizzled before creating any problems for us. Life is good! No, I’m not going to sing for you today ~ just lamenting the fact there is another storm out in the Atlantic….and this one is tracking a little bit closer than the last one. We are located at the bottom of the “M” in the word Sat AM on the map below. It will be another rough weekend at the beach…….more strong waves and rip currents I’m sure.
