    Indian River ~ Florida

    The final images from my trip to Florida earlier this month. One last look at the Atlantic then on to the river. After spending some time at the beach and shopping, we made our way back to the house in time to walk to one of the piers not to far from my parents house.  I wanted to watch the sunset over the Indian River.     Outside My Window ~ 8.29.11

    I had actually completed this post last night however prior to publishing, I saved it as a draft…and all but this paragraph was gone afterward.  😐  Beyond frustrated because of what happened, I wasn’t up to recreating the entire post so I went to bed.   I’m leaving the first paragraph as it was….and will begin it again today. Outside my window ~ 8.28.11…is the close to our first day with no worries over an approaching hurricane.  It was a beautiful albeit hot day….blue skies, sunshine and plenty of wind left over.  Our forecast high was 91°F and it was still a bit humid since the storm passed.  There are leaves, branches and limbs everywhere but surprisingly the trees still look pretty full.  The…

    Low Tide

    I processed this image with two Shadowhouse Creations textures in PSE7.  First I used Ghostly multiplied at 85% and Arctic Chill as an overlay at 100%.   I like to take a lot of photos in an area I call the “boat docks” near my mother’s house.  Truth be known, it is actually comprised of several small fishing and walking piers and a place to launch your boat into the river.  It isn’t anything extravagant ~ and if you didn’t know the area, you wouldn’t even realize there was a dock at the end of the road.  One of the main roads to my mother’s house  dead ends at this place on the Warwick River.  The reason I love to come here is the…
