Outside My Window ~ 10.6.2013
Outside my window…is the dawn of a new day. One of the things you have to “love” about being a dog owner is he doesn’t know the difference between a Sunday morning or a Monday morning…rise and shine at our normal 5:30 a.m. time for his morning walk. Even though I managed to put him off for a half an hour it was still dark was we walked. I see a nap in my future for today. Right now we are at 65°F with the sun just now making itself known. Our forecast high for today is 88°F….I want this Indian Summer weather to go away….NOW. I know people in…

Looking Back ~ August 3rd
I came home from work a little early today….I actually brought some things home with me to work from home. I had an idea….I would go back and revisit some photos I took on this day last year. I have learned volumes in the past year….especially in the field of editing and…

Cheatham Annex
The same day I took this image, while waiting for the moon to rise, I looked to my left and saw this scene at Cheatham Annex. Located on the York River, and part of Yorktown Naval Weapons Station, these piers are visible from the Colonial Parkway. While these ships may not look that huge in the photo, if you look closely you can see what appears to be tiny little trucks parked next to them. As the sun set, it was casting this lovely color across the sky and water. I applied Shadowhouse Creations V25b texture as an overlay to give it a bit of a boost.

The Coleman Bridge
On the eastern coast of Virginia, in the area that is considered the Coastal Plain, there are four peninsulas. The first is called the Eastern Shore of Virginia. It is separated from the mainland by the Chesapeake Bay. Bordered by the bay on the west, the Atlantic on the east and the Maryland Eastern Shore on the north, this peninsula is generally visited by traveling via the 17 mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. The other three peninsula’s are the Northern Neck, the Middle Peninsula and one known simply as the Peninsula. The Northern Neck is located between the Potomac and the Rappahannock Rivers; the Middle Peninsula is located between the Rappahannock and the York Rivers; and the Peninsula is…
