Outside My Window Today ~ 3.22.09
Outside My Window…Sunny and cool…..not a cloud in the sky! But looks can be deceiving….it is still not quite warm enough to bring folks out for gardening and car washing. I need to be doing both but not when it is only 45 degrees outside!
I am thinking…about all the chores I need to be doing. Laundry, cleaning, soap making……work, work, work when all I want to do is relax, relax, relax. Unfortunately when I’m done here I will need to get myself moving but for now……relaxation! 🙂
I am thankful for…the remote computer access from work and a job that allows me to work from home whenever I want to…..which I will be doing tomorrow! 🙂 I can set my own hours…..and bonus ~ work in my most comfy clothes!
From the kitchen…I have found several interesting bread recipes this past week that I think I may try. I’m having a problem paying these big bucks for a small loaf of bread every time I go to the store. Not that we eat that much……..but the price is really getting ridiculous! And it isn’t even all that tasty. Several of these require only minimal amount of time to create, and without a bread machine ~ which I do not have. Will let you know how it all turns out.
I am creating…still working on the updated look for my website, www.magikalfolkcrafts.com , which is going pretty well so far. I have also had some success on the blog creation as well. I’m also working on a few new things….a shea butter/sugar face scrub, a 95% shea butter balm and black salve cream. And of course…….bread. 🙂
I am going…to look into planting a small garden in my very small backyard area. I found this site on a blog I visit…..it shows you how to plant specific above ground gardens. For instance, it will show you what to plant and how if you want to plant a “salsa/tomato garden”. It also allows you to design your own plan. I am reading…still working on The Teachings of Don Juan. Also finishing up my last issue of Runner’s World magazine.
I am hoping…the new face cream I’m making for my daughter today comes out like the last batch. She swears by it, and if I do say so myself, her skin looks amazing. 🙂
I am hearing…The Weather Channel, cars starting outside (the neighbors stir), and the ticking of my many clocks.
Around the house…work, work, work. Lavender Dreams soap curing……and a couple of orders ready to go out. 🙂
Plans for the week include…hopefully finish the web site update……taking my daughter to get her permit in the morning. Yes, she has been an avid and happy pedestrian or bus rider all this time but has now finally decided she wants the license. *Groan* I knew it was inevitable. The rest of the week….wide open right now.
One of my favorite things…finding real bargains in the store when you least expect it.
