I saw on The Weather Channel this morningwe are expected to have back to back coastal storms…….or Nor’easter as they are called.  One affecting us today, another on Sunday.   I explained a Nor’easter in this post, but the short and simple of it is a nor’easter is like tropical systems we get in the summer, except not so much tropical.  They develop and produce cold northeasterly winds and like their summer counterparts, they can move real slow and dump days and days of rain.  They generally develop on or off the coast of the mid-Atlantic.   We have gotten our fair share of rain today…..with more expected this evening. 

I haven’t heard so much about strong winds coming up….they generally accompany these storms….and the meteorologists aren’t telling us to batten down the hatches or run for our lives yet…..so I’m thinking this is mostly a rain event with just enough wind to make umbrellas useless.  

I have discovered a new and wonderful place where I will be taking many, many photos soon.  It actually has been there all along, I had just forgotten about it.  I drove by  it this past Tuesday and missed a golden photo opportunity because I needed to be someplace.  I still feel like kicking myself…….but alas, it may present itself again soon.  I did go by last night to explore a bit and took this shot…..before the rains came.  It looks like clouds are so close to the tree tops……
