I surrendered…I caved…or the post otherwise known as look what I got…

You may remember my quest to obtain a decent looking camera bag….one that I could use in place of my humongous, ugly camera bag.  I had lusted after other camera handbags I had seen online, but their prices were more than I wanted to pay for something I wouldn’t use all the time.  True, I do generally carry my camera with me where ever I go,  but I didn’t want my everyday handbag to be a camera handbag quite honestly.  I just wanted sometime a little more attractive that I could carry when I went to a family function or a restaurant with family and friends that would also protect my camera.  While I have no doubt the vendors offering their camera handbags are fairly priced, it was a bit more than I wanted to pay for one right now.  I tried to win one at various sites hosting giveaways….many times….but my record for winning things isn’t what you would call good.  So the quest began….to create my very own camera handbag out of one I had at home.

I measured…..I cut….I sewed….but I couldn’t quite get what I wanted.  One problem, I think I chose the wrong type of fabric for my interior…another was trying to decide how to create the inserts so they would stick properly.  My intentions were true, they were good through and through and lord knows I tried to see it through to fruition ~ but when I saw this online recently, I surrendered….and I caved.  There it was….my holy grail….it was exactly what I wanted (except maybe in cuter colors, but we can’t have everything can we?  🙂  )….

Durable outer fabric with lots of little pockets all around for stashing your goodies….two magnetic closures on the front and two leather straps for carrying on each end.

The bag is well made with soft fabric on the inside and fully padded to protect your camera and any lens you may be transporting with you that day.  There is one adjustable divider ~ one side has plenty of room for my DSLR with my 50mm and my battery grip attachment plus an extra lens or two can fit in the other section.  Just how many extras you can carry would depend on their size but it will hold my 55-250mm lens or my 18-55mm and my 35-80mm lens without a problem.  And bonus points….it fits perfectly in my handbag with room to spare…..and that makes me a happy camper.  🙂

It’s great when you find just what you have been looking for.
    You were brave buying online.
I worry that the feel and quality won’t be as good as I hope.
I hope your new camera bag keeps you snapping great photos wherever you are!

It is fabulous when you find something you like. I worry a little about buying online….whether the product will be what I expect. I can say I haven’t been disappointed to date. I always check to make sure they have a reasonable return policy before I order Gina.
