Outside My Window

Outside My Window ~ 3.28.10

Outside My Window…the sun is setting and the clouds are building up once again.  We have a pretty high chance of thunderstorms this evening with rain continuing throughout the day Monday.  Today for the most part was a beautiful day….temps were not as high as last weekend, quite a bit cooler actually.  But we did have a lot of sunshine and it was very nice while sitting in the sun.  We have another low pressure system that is going to move up the coast tonight and tomorrow…there have been so many since last fall I have lost count.  On the plus side, the rain helps keeps the pollen down…..on the down side, we are still quite saturated.  I was noticing water levels while driving over some area bridges and it was quite high….higher than it has been in several years.  Again, plus side is the drought is gone….down, we are still quite saturated.

I am thinking…about my upcoming vacation.  I will be going to visit the folks in Catawba, South Carolina again for a few days.  So many things running through my head in regards to that, I’m having a hard time thinking about anything else.

I am thankful for…the reason my daughter’s car didn’t start tonight is because she simply left her headlights on during work today….not anything more serious.  I was called in the middle of creating this post by a sad girl, her car wouldn’t start.  She accidentally hit her headlights when getting out of the car.  She said she wondered why the car was beeping at her when she went to get out….I explained beeping is never good ~ check things out before walking away.  Fortunately, mall security was able to give her a jump start and all was well.

From the kitchen…are the most delicious hamburgers ever from The Fresh Market.  Yes, the same ones that tempted me from the grill that fateful evening.  🙂

I am going…to attempt to update my Flickr account during my vacation.  I was looking at it the other day and realized it has been forever since I uploaded any photos.  I have put a few on there here and there, but nothing compared to what I have to put on there.   I may not get it finished, but I will put a dent in what I need to do.

I am hoping…that this years Earth Hour was a huge success.   My youngest and I participated again this year.  We began getting ready early this year by lighting our candles and turning off the lights.  The time flew by…and I used some of the time to take a few shots of last night’s almost full moon.

I am hearing…the ticking of my many clocks……a commercial break on television.

Around the house…the beginnings of a road trip goodies….I have started picking up a few things to carry with us ~ snacks and such.

Plans for the week include…getting the car serviced on Tuesday, a dentist appointment….packing for my trip and finally leaving for the trip later this week.  I can’t wait!  🙂

One of my favorite things…vacation time!  Yes, there is an ongoing theme here.

A picture I’d like to share with you…my almost full moon from last night…..not bad, not bad.  I’m getting there!  🙂

Thanks Tracey! I only wish it was a total full moon…but I won’t complain. One of my goals when I got my new camera was to get a great full moon shot….I will be out there trying each month. 🙂

Beautiful photo. I have never managed to get a truly clear moon shot that lives up the the beauty of what I can see with my own eyes. Somehow the photo always ends up a disappointing second. You have done really well with yours!
