Like a good part of the country, we are experiencing the unbelievable heat. It is 9:00 p.m. and the temperature is 90°F but when you factor in the humidity, it feels like 107°F. Miserable. 😐

Outside My Window ~ 7.17.11
Outside my window…is the sun setting on another Sunday. My how the weekends fly. We had a couple of beautiful days but I didn’t get outside too much. Right now it is 80°F with about 50% humidity…zero chance of rain this evening. Our high was about 86°F today….not too bad for mid July. We will be heating up to a high of 97°F by Thursday with a chance of thunderstorms for Wednesday and Thursday. I noticed when I checked the Weather Channel there is a tropical storm brewing in the Atlantic…I probably should pay closer to the weather this time of the year. It appears as if it will not be a…

Things that made me smile this week…
First….but no photograph….a check from the insurance company for my daughter’s car that surpassed my wildest dreams. Sweet! Wispy clouds that dance in a blue sky…. ….followed by beautiful sunsets…. …and my sweet moon shot ~ I know I posted it the other day, but it did make me smile this week 🙂 …. …new beginnings… …and waiting for them to say hello…. …an early morning movie to see the epic ending of a wonderful series of movies with my sister…. ….followed by lunch at one of our favorite restaurants where we talked almost non stop about the movie. PS ~ the movie did not disappoint…I loved it, right down to the last minute.…

Friday Flashback
I saw on television recently they have created a new “Dallas” series which will be premiering this fall I believe. In case you are not familiar with it, the show was about a wealthy Texas oil family….kind of like an evening soap opera. I wasn’t a huge fan of the original series, but I knew a lot of people who were. The original series ran from 1978 until 1991. I was living in Dallas from 1985 to 1990. In March of 1985, I moved to the Dallas metro area from Denver…at the time, a little area called Lewisville.
