Artichoke Frittata
Thanksgiving tomorrow…Christmas around the corner….hectic mornings with lots to do. My very good friend Sharon turned me on to this dish years ago…something she served her family for breakfast Christmas morning. And folks, if you like eggs, artichokes, onions and cheese ~ you are going to love this! 🙂 Best of all, it takes only a few minutes to prepare. I like to enjoy mine with chopped tomatoes on top…or sometimes salsa. As far as the cheese….I use sharp cheddar, but I would think you can substitute for your personal favorite. Interested ~ click here, prepare and enjoy!

Outside My Window ~ 11.21.10
Outside My Window…is another beautiful day in the neighborhood. 🙂 At 12:20 p.m., we have already hit our forecast high temperature of 62°F with a light wind, sunshine and blue skies. Forecast today is for the temperature to drop down to about 55°F by six with mid to low 40’s tonight. For the rest of the week, very nice until Thursday when they are predicting a few showers. Folks waiting in line at the ungodly hours that stores open on black Friday may get wet with showers and wind forecast for that day. I will not be shopping on Friday although I may take my oldest daughter in to work again. …

Lee Hall Mansion
Located not too far from where I live. “Lee Hall Mansion is the only large antebellum plantation house remaining on the lower Virginia Peninsula. Completed in 1859, Lee Hall Mansion was home to affluent planter Richard Decauter Lee (of the York County Lee family), his wife Martha, and their children. Only three years after the house’s completion, the Lees fled their home as the Peninsula became one of the first battlegrounds of the Civil War”. From the Lee Hall website.

A Beautiful End
When I got home from work this evening, I had this view of the moon looking east….. With an amazing ring around it….. And to the west, a beautiful sunset….. A beautiful, bright moon…..amazing colors from the sunset. My mind was in overload….I didn’t know which way to point the camera. 🙂

Grandaddy
Some people have grandfathers….some people have Papa’s…. …..he was always Grandaddy to me. He was born on this day in 1901 in Currituck, North Carolina. He was a farmer. He married Nellie and they had 7 children. My mother was their youngest. When we would visit when I was a little girl, I would get up with him each morning to help him let the chickens out of their houses. When it was time for us to go home, the day before he would carry me around with him as he cried. I’m the cute blond standing next to him. 🙂 He drove an old John Deere tractor to the store. I can still hear…

Letting Go
We had rain and wind last night… ….many leaves were letting go. Free to float on the wind. I like how the ones in the middle look like little hearts.

Last Gasp
With our colder temperatures at night, I have seen the last of my morning glories. Until next year.

No Charge
The College of William and Mary has some amazing rooftops. I was thinking about all the wonderful photographs I could get from this rooftop. Of course I’m afraid of heights so that could be a problem. 🙂 The contractors my neighbor called came to take a quick look at the roof today. They believe there several possibilities that could be causing the problem. We made an appointment for them to return next week to begin an in-depth investigation….at no charge. I like the no charge part of it.
