Outside My Window ~ 5.6.12
Outside my window…Sunday night….end of the weekend….where did the time go? The weekend was filled with some wild weather, work and relaxing in between learning. Friday night came upon us with rumbling thunder, wild and wicked lightening, wind and torrential rains. The weather forecasters had predicted strong storms but I haven’t seen lightening like that in quite some time. Outside My Window ~ 11.7.10
Outside My Window…is blue skies and sunshine ~ a beautiful day in the neighborhood albeit a windy one. The temperature at 11:00 a.m. is 49ºF with winds at about 17mph, gusting up to 25mph which makes it feel like 43ºF outside. A bit nippy for sure! This may be our coldest day yet this season. Our forecast high is 53ºF with windy conditions expected all day long and a low tonight of 36ºF. We are a little below our average with these temperatures. Right now it appears that the week will be just as beautiful but because of the chilly temperatures at night, I have brought all the plants inside that…

Information regarding Lion’s Bridge as taken from the Mariner Museum web site: Known as the Lion’s Bridge, the dam forming the lake provides a breathtaking view of the James River, as well as a family gathering place to enjoy the Museum Park. The beauty of the dam is enhanced by…

Outside My Window ~ 11.08.2009
Outside My Window…is a beautiful morning ~ 59F with 62% humidity, skies are clear and a brilliant blue. I believe we are in what is considered the peak season for the fall colors in our area. I have noticed the colors on some trees are fading, but there is still much color and beauty out there. I have been to different locations and taken many photos. Hopefully I will be featuring some on here before too long. I am thinking…about how one tree can drop so many leaves. My backyard is covered in leaves, covered. But on another note, I found out what type of tree it is that drops…
