Outside My Window ~ 2.02.14
Outside my window…is blue skies and sunshine as well as moderate temperatures. We are currently sitting at 55°F with an expected high of 60°F today. Loving it! In the span of a week we had two snow storms with a total accumulation of approximately 9 inches. The first snow came the evening of January 21st with a total accumulation of around 3 1/2 inches. The temperature stayed cold enough for that snow to hang around until last Monday until we finally warmed up enough for all the snow to melt. Last Tuesday another front and coastal storm moved in and this time we received a total accumulation of 5 1/2…

Outside My Window ~ 7.28.2013
Outside my window…is a cloudy and humid morning. Currently it is noon and we have a temperature of 81°F but feels like 86°F with the 75% humidity factored in. Yes, it is humid but not beyond miserable because the temperature is manageable. We have enjoyed some beautiful weather the past few days with blue skies, moderate temperatures and lower humidity. I think today is the first day the humidity has been this high in some time. I’m not fool enough to believe that cooler temperatures are going to be the norm for the rest of the summer….traditionally August is a hot month….but I did read on one of my weather geek…

Outside My Window ~ 7.14.2013
Outside my window…today is hot and humid. We have had intermittent sunshine and cloud cover but the heat has remained consistent. At approximately 2:30 it is 85°F but feels like 92°F ~ humidity is 71%. We had a dry, hot week until Thursday which saw heavy rains that afternoon, rain again on Friday and more heavy rain Saturday morning and early afternoon. Our chance for rain this afternoon is relatively low at 20%, but then I have seen pouring rain when our chance was only 30% so hard to say. I can see dark clouds outside my window looking East but there is plenty of sunshine right now. I wouldn’t…

Inspired by Jenny Le’s “Nocturna” The full tutorial is not available unless you are a member of the site {which I am not} so I took the idea and created something similar of my own. Outside My Window ~ 2.24.2013
Outside my window…is yet another cloudy day. It does appear as if that bright object in the sky that some refer to as the “sun” is trying to make an appearance…it looks a bit brighter outside than earlier this morning. When the dog and I went for our walk around 7:15, it was full cloud cover with some dark ones on the horizon…misty rain…and a bit cool. The pavement is still wet but looks as if the mist has stopped for the time being. Yesterday was rain….I know, shocking ~ we had rain! We will get a couple of days off and then more rain is forecast for Tuesday. I seriously…

Outside My Window ~ 2.17.2013
Outside my window…is a mixture of sun and clouds as well as quite cold and windy. Currently we are at 35°F but with the wind blowing at 13mph and gusting up to 23mph, it feels more like 26°F. Our high today is forecast at 36°F which is not much over our low yesterday of 34°F. We did get an inch and a half of snowfall yesterday however not too much of it stuck. There was a dusting on the rooftops, some on the cars and a few patchy areas on the ground…nothing on the streets and sidewalks. The weather folks had said that what snow we did get wouldn’t stick around because it…
