Not So Much Tonight…
Sometimes the mind is full of ideas….not so much tonight. I suppose I was up a bit later than normal last night and I’m tired this evening ~ brain is not firing on all cylinders perhaps. I’m sitting here and try as I may the inspiration just isn’t there….maybe I’m trying too hard. I do want to pass on a couple of links as promised. Outside My Window ~ 6.13.10
Outside My Window…is Africa ~ oh wait, it is only 68 in Kenya right now so we are hotter than Africa. In all fairness, it is dark o’clock over there….but our high today of 90 will be very close to their high for the day. Currently at 12:15 it is 84ºF but feels like 91ºF when you factor in the 74% humidity. Yes, 74% ~ it feels like a wet blanket draped over you as soon as you walk outside. Quite tropical…which is why I’m happy I’m inside right now. I am thinking…I need to get my butt moving or the day will be done and I won’t have accomplished much. 🙂 I am thankful…

HDR Technique ~ I Remembered!
I actually remembered this evening that I had said I would share the HDR technique I discovered earlier this week. See…she can be taught. 🙂 To do this technique, you will need to be able to open your jpeg or raw files in ACR ~ Adobe Camera Raw. This plug-in comes with my version of PSE7….I can’t vouch for other versions though. It is best to try this with landscapes or similar images until you have used it for some time. If opening a jpeg file, you will need to select file>open as>and select your file. Raw files can be opened with file>open. This tutorial is probably more suited for individuals that have some…

Outside My Window ~ 5.30.10
Outside My Window…is a warm, hazy morning. Currently it is 78ºF with 76% humidity and partly sunny skies. The forecast high for today is 91ºF with a threat of thunderstorms. This heat combined with high humidity equals a soupy enough mixture to create afternoon thunderstorms. For Memorial Day they are forecasting a high of 94ºF with sunny skies….sounds like a perfect beach day although I probably will not be going. I still enjoy the beach but I don’t enjoy the heat and humidity so much any more. 🙂 I am thinking…about a site I witnessed last night with my neighbor as we stood outside and talked. It was around dusk….the sun…

I didn’t realize it was quite so late….11:00 now…5:30 comes early. I have experienced some head spinning today ~ it is puzzling. I think I will go to bed now and hope it goes away.

Outside My Window…is a beautiful, sun shiny day right now. Current temperature at 1:20 is in the mid 70’s with rain expected later this afternoon or evening. We also have a chance of thunderstorms later. Thunderstorms have been the norm the past few evenings around here and last night was no exception. The claps of thunder were so loud they woke me from a very deep sleep….and as each daughter came out of their room this morning they asked if I heard the thunder last night. My name is Debbie and I am a chicken little when it comes to critters and creatures. Many of you who have been visiting for awhile know I love to photograph sunsets….sunrises too but I don’t get the opportunity to shoot those that often, so I mostly have sunsets. One of my favorite locations for sunsets is the boat docks close to my mother’s house. Actually, a few small piers and the ability to put a boat in the water….but it is called the boat docks. Outside My Window…is a very warm morning. Already the temps are at 78º with partly cloudy skies…actually more sun than clouds right now. Combine the humidity it feels like 81º outside at 9:25 am. Our forecast high for today is 94º with winds 15 to 25mph. This sounds like a forecast for a summer day, not early May when our average temperature is 70º. The beaches are definitely welcoming visitors this weekend but with the winds, you will feel like you are being sandblasted. To get some relief, you may venture into the water….except while the air temperature is very hot, the water temperature is still spring temperatures…that means you will be wading…
