Outside My Window ~ 6.12.2011
Outside my window…in a word, steamy. At 11:00 this morning, it is 80°F with 73% humidity and relatively no wind…steamy. Our forecast high for today is 89° with a 50% chance of thunderstorms. Yesterday we had a 30% chance of storms and storm it did, for quite some time around sunset and into the night. We received over a quarter inch of rain last night on top of the rain we received Friday night. My plants are loving these rainstorms after baking this past week in unbelievable heat. Jasmine by my front door My roses blooming in my garden Robin Redbreast hunting bugs in the yard Blooming flowers at my mom’s house Even the ones with creatures included Backyard bunnies munching on clover Heart felt lawn ornaments…no matter how old or rusty and finally….homegrown goodness from friends What made you smile this week? 🙂

A Run Through The Neighborhood….
One of the nice things about running through your neighborhood is the sites you see……the different flowers, different wildlife, different ways people landscape their yards, and of course the people. There is a couple (he is a massage therapist and personal trainer, she is a teacher) that gets up early and run….some mornings they are sitting on their porch enjoying a beverage afterwards and are always quick to shout “hello, how are you” and “you’re looking good, keep up the great work” as I run past. A little encouragement never hurt anyone! During my run this morning, I was thinking about what kind of post I could do today….and I thought why not…
