A Beautiful End
When I got home from work this evening, I had this view of the moon looking east….. With an amazing ring around it….. And to the west, a beautiful sunset….. A beautiful, bright moon…..amazing colors from the sunset. My mind was in overload….I didn’t know which way to point the camera. 🙂

Daydreaming While Watching Sunsets
I was able to get my sunset photos web ready this evening… …the PSE installation was successful. They weren’t quite as colorful as I had hoped….but the clouds were interesting. I simplified this image in Topaz…it kind of gave the water a weird kind of texture. Kind of flaky looking I guess. I like the tiny airplane at the top. When I see an airplane, I always wonder where they are going…. …or where they have been. Hopefully it was a good flight either way.

Some of My Favorites
I may have mentioned a time or two that I went to the beach for a couple of days not too long ago. 🙂 You saw the house we stayed at and besides those, I took many other photos while there. A good deal of them were of the family and the kids that came down. I have been working on those photos most of the day…picking out the best ones so I can burn a disk for my brother’s family. While I’m taking a break from that…I thought I would show you a few of my favorites from the trip. My daughter (left) and her best friend.

6 + 305
An amazing sunset over Oregon Inlet…located on Hatteras Island… which is part of the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Notice the sea gull chilling on the post. As of today, I made it 6 months with a post a day. Every day….6 months. Woo Hoo! 🙂 I was worried I would make it through one month. Six more to go…. Hmmmmmm…I’m hopeful. Oh….and I made it to 305 posts. Can’t believe 300 went by and I missed it. Sigh.

Summer Solstice
I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows, Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine. Whatever is dreamed on this night, will come to pass. ~ William Shakespeare

Please allow me to introduce myself….
My name is Debbie and I am a chicken little when it comes to critters and creatures. Many of you who have been visiting for awhile know I love to photograph sunsets….sunrises too but I don’t get the opportunity to shoot those that often, so I mostly have sunsets. One of my favorite locations for sunsets is the boat docks close to my mother’s house. Actually, a few small piers and the ability to put a boat in the water….but it is called the boat docks. You remember my post earlier about spring gnats…..and my extreme dislike for them. Well, my earlier encounter with them was nothing compared to Thursday night. They swarmed over me as…

I Do Not Like Spring Gnats!
I love these longer days……more daylight which equals the opportunity to take more sunset photos for me. I apparently can’t get enough. 🙂 But I have to tell you, on this day, it was rough. I was so excited when I pulled into the lot and jumped out of the car, camera in hand and ready to snap away. The sky was beginning to turn these amazing colors…..the water was like glass. I rushed down one of the piers, picked my spot and began to snap away. I went to reposition myself, lowered the camera and OH.MY.GOD! I can not even begin to explain the number of gnats that swarmed over me. …
