Outside My Window ~ 11.11.2012
Outside my window…is the closing hours on a fabulous weekend in Southeast Virginia. You couldn’t ask for two better days this weekend ~ blue skies, sunshine and mild temperatures. We are expecting rain by Tuesday and more seasonal temperatures. At 10:00 this evening it is 57°F with clear skies and little to no wind. Temperatures are suppose to stay around the mid 50’s all night and back up into the low 70’s tomorrow. I am thinking…those folks in the Northeast have probably had enough weather for a long while. On top of the weather woes they have to deal with long lines for gas….if they can find any. I imagine…

Outside My Window ~ 7.8.2012
Outside my window…is an evening inching towards completion. At a little past 10:00 p.m. we have cloudy skies…a fairly steady wind from the north at 14 mph. It is currently 81°F but feels like 84°F. Our forecast low for this evening is 75°F with a 50% chance of thunderstorms….a few may be severe. Our forecast high for tomorrow is our current “feels like” temperature, 84°F…and even though I’m sure the humidity is going to be fairly high, it will feel cooler than the past several days when our heat index has been 109°F to 115°F. I’m hoping some of the forecast rain materializes this week….after all this heat things…

Outside My Window ~ 3.25.2012
Outside my window…is dark o’clock. Yes, I know I said I was going to be sending this out earlier in the day ~ didn’t happen today and rather than stress about it, I decided not to worry about it. Life is sometimes easier that way. It is currently 56°F at about 10:30 in the evening. The is a slight breeze with cloudy skies. We have had a rainy weekend…not sure how much total rainfall we have had, but it was a soggy two days. From my kitchen…is another quiet weekend. I went out to dinner with my youngest daughter last night ~ PF Changs. Oh so very tasty food but…

Outside My Window ~ 3.18.2012
Outside my window…I’m waking up to a cool 54°F morning. It is about 9:30 with cloudy skies that are suppose to clear off later this morning. Our high today is an expected 67°, cooler than the past few days when we were hitting the high 70’s, low 80’s. After checking out the weather for the coming week, it looks as if we are going to stay in the mid 50’s at night and low 70’s during the day for the next five days. I can live with that. I generally don’t change the image to this post until the actual season starts…but since spring will happen on Tuesday and using…

Outside My Window ~ 10.30.2011
Outside my window…is a cold, dark night. We have weathered through our first big nor’easter of the season ~ nope, no snow for us ~ just rain , wind and not problems. It did get cold last night with a low of 38°F…tonight’s forecast is at 37°F. Currently we are at 41°F and the winds are calm. Tomorrow is calling for partly cloudy with a high of 58°F. We will warm gradually throughout the week up to the mid 60’s by next weekend. The leaves are beginning to turn nicely in the area…I’m thinking I will make another trip to Lake Matoaka on campus to see if I can get…
