Summer in Southeast Virginia
Typical summer afternoon in Southeast Virginia…….I’m leaving work to beautiful blue skies and cotton candy clouds. Here is a glimpse of my drive down the Colonial Parkway after work. I was on my way to Gloucester to pick up Alanna from a friends house.
I noticed the clouds getting larger…….
When I arrived in Gloucester, the sun was shining bright through the pine tree…..
By the time we arrived home, the clouds were building and the skies were darkening even more, but amidst the dark sky, a rainbow. Actually, it was a double rainbow, but the second one had faded so that it didn’t photograph.
As the sun was starting to set, the skies darkened even more……with ominous clouds building over the neighborhood……..
With lightening and thunder……….
And the rain came……….but no worries, we were dry, this was taken through the storm door 🙂
