The sky was percolating this evening…I’m not at all surprised. It was hot…it was humid….and I knew something had to give sooner or later. About 5:30 this evening, the sky darkened, rumbled and flashed as rain poured down. It got a little dicey for a bit with the exploding thunder and lightening. This image isn’t from this evening….tonight I was located underneath something like pictured above I suppose…except a lot bigger. High Water and Birds
I stopped by the boat dock on my way home Thursday evening. This is one of my favorite locations for shooting sunsets. As I drove towards the river, I was surprised at how much standing water there was on the sides of the road. I was even more surprised when I got to the river and saw how high the water was. The dock I usually walk out on is totally under water. I’m still not sure why the water level was so high…no storms or any reason that I have heard. I mean, the Mississippi is flooding but this river is a long way from there. I do know…

I Dreamed I Was Running
I dreamed I was running last night. The dream was actually a little weird in the beginning…. I was going around my old course ~ sitting in an old office chair on wheels as my feet were running on the pavement. A little weird right? 😕 Suddenly I was up on my feet….and I was running again….and it felt wonderful. It was so real, I could feel myself pacing my breath with my steps…..feel the chill from the light coat of sweat glistening on my body in the cool morning air. Something New
I visited a unique little store during my recent trip to South Carolina earlier this month. I was in search of a round butter dish that would hold the wonderful butter I pick up at a local store while I’m there. Previously I had been using a small, round Tupperware container…I wanted something different…I wanted pottery. Nina knew of a place that wasn’t too far from where we buy the butter however she had never been. We decided to check it out one morning. Oh Yea…
My first loaf of bread machine bread…Rosemary and Olive Oil. I meant to take this earlier in the day using natural light rather than kitchen light. But this will have to do. The bread machine…fabulous. I decided to make the 2 pound loaf…larger than I expected! The finished product was wonderful….it smelled heavenly as it cooked… …and was oh so tasty when I sampled it. Especially slathered with fresh butter…yum! 😉

A Tornado Warning Has Been Issued…
These are not black and white images…. Just looked outside ~ scary looking, much darker than these photos. These are fast moving storms…. I hope they do move quickly through our area… I’m requesting they don’t bring along a tornado please.

Random Photos As A Passenger
My youngest daughter and I joined my sister and her husband for a ride over to MacArthur Mall in Norfolk on Saturday. Afterwards I determined that they need to spend some time on I64 in this area…. the car rode beautifully….the road was horrible and bumpy. Generally there are a few aircraft carriers in port at the naval base…not today. This was taken after we came out of the tunnel on the Norfolk side. Heading home later that evening….on the Norfolk side of the tunnel entrance. Traffic is light here….my brother-in-law bypassed the backup so we basically zipped home. Traffic at this bridge tunnel on a weekday afternoon…or during the summer…is a nightmare.…

One Year Plus Two
One year ago….plus two days a dear friend ended our almost 30 year friendship with an email. Lies were revealed to me…..the excuse….a character flaw. Cold….casual…short and sweet….goodbye forever. I believe this person still checks in here…. so for their benefit I would like to say…. I saw the Post Script….and I’m ignoring it. A character flaw I suppose.
