    Once Upon A Time

I remember when fast food restaurants were rare…. ….and they had drive up ordering. The car hop would bring your food out on a tray… ….sometimes on skates. The tray had hooks on the bottom which they would hang on the partially rolled up window….usually on the drivers door. You sat in the car and ate the most amazing burgers…. and thick french fries… ….ice cold Coca Cola…. ….and shakes that you could barely suck through the straw. It just isn’t the same now.

    Outside My Window ~ 10.10.10

Outside My Window…is a beautiful afternoon.  Currently at 2:45 p.m. EDT, there are blue skies, sunshine, a slight breeze and 82ºF.  Yes….82ºF.  Tomorrows forecast is 89ºF with sunshine, blue skies and a slight breeze….as all the days will until Thursday when it will go down into the 70’s.  Come back Fall…I like that transition period between summer and winter when the weather cools down to just right and the nights are a bit chilly….excellent for sleeping.  I don’t want to go from summer into winter! I am thinking…about my youngest and my Jeep.  Today is her big day….her day to finally drive without mom in the car.  She is a good…

Show Your Skills Saturday ~ #1

Today I’m participating in Everyday Elements Show Your Skills Saturday.  Below is the straight out of camera (SOOC) photograph offered by Amanda for editing…. And now my edit in Lightroom 3.  The major adjustments was a slight increase in the temperature, contrast and vibrance while reducing the clarity.  After I was satisfied with those adjustments, I enhanced her eyes a bit to counter the clarity reduction.  I was happy with the results…hopefully mom will be too!  🙂 Stop by and visit Amanda at Everyday Elements if you would like to show your skills.  She also offers workshops, tutorials and actions for Photoshop Elements.
