Outside My Window…is cloudy, wet and cool. We are currently at 63ºF at 7:00 this evening. The temperature hasn’t varied too much today from our current temp….there has been light rain falling all day on and off. This is my definition of typical fall weather. The trees in my neighborhood are beginning to turn ~ especially the dogwood trees. Rain is forecast for Monday with it clearing off in the evening. Our temperatures are going to stay in the mid sixties to seventy degrees during the day and lows in the mid to upper 50’s in the evenings this week. I’m not complaining…just wish the earlier storm hadn’t revealed the roof leak again. …

Outside My Window…right now it is 74ºF with cloud cover, a chance of thunderstorms this evening ~ and I have been told it feels cool in the house. Sweet! We actually had moisture fall from the sky last night….I believe it is called rain? You know I exaggerate a bit but it has been forever since we have had rain puddles around my house. And cooler temperatures ~ I welcome thee with open arms!! From my kitchen…is an early dinner of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli with cheese. Outside My Window…is not the warm, sunny days spent relaxing in Catawba while lounging on the back porch and enjoying the many, many hummingbirds that were visiting the feeders at my parents house. We are home again…back in Southeast Virginia and experiencing seasonal temperatures for today. At 2:00 p.m., temperature is at 86ºF with 49% humidity…..actually it is not too bad outside right now. It has been worse. There are some high clouds now and again which are filtering the sun out a bit…but for the most part a sunny day. Forecast for today is 90ºF, light winds and a slight chance of rain. I am thinking…about several different things I want to work…

Outside My Window…is a partly cloudy morning, about 77ºF outside at 8:30 this morning. The humidity right now is 90%…which is typical for the early morning hours….it will drop down to about 60% later today. I knew it was pretty humid out by the amount of moisture on the car windows and my eastern facing windows. Our high today is forecast to be 90ºF with sunshine. We has some pretty rough storms again this past Thursday evening. I haven’t heard officially but I believe we had a micro-burst in the section of the city where my mother lives. Graduation
I attended a graduation party earlier this evening. My niece and her cousin will be graduating from high school tomorrow. While her cousin is not directly related to me, she is like a niece to me. Her and her brother grew up with mine, attended each others birthday parties when they were young….it doesn’t seem like that long ago they were babies. Celebrating the upcoming graduation brought back memories of my own daughter’s graduation this time last year….and of my own graduation many years ago. Graduation day is probably one of the biggest days of your life….of course when you are that age you experience lots of firsts…..lots of big moments. But graduation….life as you…

I woke early this morning so I could enjoy the beauty of a Catawba sunrise….as reddish orange as the clay that blankets the land. This is a beautiful location……serene and quiet. I’m relaxing on the spacious back porch of my father’s house. …….hummingbirds ……. and an American Goldfinch……. Morning coffee with the folks…….relaxing……..visiting……enjoying life right now.
