    Outside my window…is a very warm and partly cloudy Sunday afternoon.  At around 12:15 today, we are at 85°F with humidity at 63% and little or no breeze.  I was outside for a little while this morning and I can attest to the fact that it is muggy and warm.  Our forecast high of 90°F and sunshine is making the tourists that traveled to our shores quite happy.  Nothing ruins a beach vacation like cloudy and rainy weather.  There is a good chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening that will either turn the entire place into a giant steam bath or cool us off a bit.  I hope it is the latter.     Visiting with my niece and her family while they were here on vacation… More bee action on the lavender… Friends who provide farm fresh goodness in pretty baskets… Enjoying a rainbow that followed a rain storm… …which was followed by amazing blue skies…. …and a prettiful sunset!  🙂 But the biggest smile of all….my first red tomato!!  Sweet!     Outside my window…is a Sunday that didn’t quite know what it wanted to do.  Cloudy….rain….sun….cloudy….more rain….more sun.  Currently, at 8:00 p.m., we are at 72°F with cloudy skies…there may even be a few rain drops falling as I sit here.  Looks like we have had a little over a quarter inch of rain in the past 24 hours ~ I think most of that fell last night during some storms that moved through our area.  When I went to bed it was raining quite hard with lots of lightening and thunder.  It is quite humid outside right now, 78%…and if you are doing any type of activity out there right now, you know it.  I…

    Outside My Window…is unbelievably hot and sunny!  When I walked outside early this morning I couldn’t believe how hot it was.  Currently it is 86ºF but feels like 93ºF with 64% humidity at 11:00 this morning.  Our high today is suppose to reach 95ºF. I’m not surprised we have a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening….I will be surprised if nothing materializes because it feels quite tropical outside.  I also noticed our area is a 3 on the Weather Channel TorCon index….so that means we have a 30% chance of a tornado in this area.  Fortunately, they are not the norm for us.     Clouds were building all afternoon and into the evening….no rain as of yet.  I stopped by the boat docks to get a couple of photos on my way home.  I’m posting this at home this evening.  The most amazing thing happened when I got up this morning.  I thought I would check the phone line, you know ~ just in case by some off chance it was working again and low and behold, it was!  The beautiful sound of dial tone burring in my ears.    So I have to wonder ~ did Verizon fix the problem….or did it fix itself?  The last I heard was June 3rd……no call to check to…

    Whew…..success!

    You may be confused by the title, but I was very relieved last night when it came time to take the Lavender Dreams soap I made on Sunday from the mold.  You see, I changed up the soap a bit this time…….previously Lavender Dreams was scented solely with lavender essential oils.  This time, I scented the soap with the same essential oil combination as I do the cream and lotion of the same name.  I’m keeping my earlier version, changing the name to Simply Lavender.  But I decided to keep the goat’s milk in this new version because I love the creaminess the milk gives to the lather.  The trick when making…
