    Red, White, Blue with a little bit of Yellow & Orange

    Yippy Skippy….my largest tomato finally started turning red today!  I was beginning to wonder if it was ever going to turn and at the same time deciding if there was such a thing as a healthy fried green tomato.  We had another round of thunderstorms this afternoon and as I often do when I get home from work after a round of storms, I check to see if “everyone” survived in the garden.  I was thrilled to see this flash of red on an otherwise green bush!     Outside My Window ~ 6.7.2009

    Outside My Window…sun is finally coming out……currently 68 degrees with a forecasted high of 80 with a mix of clouds and sun.  It is fairly humid outside, probably as a result of all the rain we got Friday evening.  And did it rain!  I just noticed on the weather channel our rain total for the month of June is 2 ¼ inches……..I wouldn’t be at all surprised if most of that came Friday night.  It would pour rain, slack off a little bit for a couple of minutes and then pour rain again.  This went on from late afternoon into the night.  But everything is so green and clean looking…

    Contrasting Skies

    What a difference 14 hours can make in the skies……..other than the obvious light and dark.  🙂 We had intermitent rain showers all day yesterday which cleaned off the Jeep… If you look closely, you can see the storm clouds reflected on the hood.  These were taken yesterday evening……we were under a severe thunderstorm warning and tornado watch.  In the photo below, you can’t see it but to the right of my shot there were quite a few lightening flashes and you could hear a non-stop rumbling of thunder in a distance.  This storm had a history of producing damaging winds and large hail….fortunately we only experienced a soaking rain.  And look at…
