Outside My Window ~ 12.18.2011
Outside my window…is nightfall in Hampton Roads. We are currently at 31°F with clear skies…forecast low is 30°F. Cold. Tomorrow is another story with a forecast high of 56°F and sunshine but it will get cold again tomorrow evening. There is no snow in the forecast…chance of rain on Christmas day, but no snow. It appears as if we are not the only ones who won’t have a white Christmas. So maybe the mountains of snow received last year were actually some of this years snow? Would seem so…places that usually have received quite a bit by this time of the season have received only a trace so far this…

Outside My Window ~ 7.17.11
Outside my window…is the sun setting on another Sunday. My how the weekends fly. We had a couple of beautiful days but I didn’t get outside too much. Right now it is 80°F with about 50% humidity…zero chance of rain this evening. Our high was about 86°F today….not too bad for mid July. We will be heating up to a high of 97°F by Thursday with a chance of thunderstorms for Wednesday and Thursday. I noticed when I checked the Weather Channel there is a tropical storm brewing in the Atlantic…I probably should pay closer to the weather this time of the year. It appears as if it will not be a…

Introducing ~
Magikal Folk Photography Senior Rep Look out world….here comes Tyler! From the time he stepped out of his car until the last photograph was taken, this young man was exploding with energy and life! Without a doubt, he was one of the easiest individuals I have ever photographed. Wonderful personality! When Tyler is not in school, he loves skateboarding and is actively pursuing a career in modeling and acting. I have no doubt he will succeed.

Outside My Window ~ 3.6.11
Outside My Window…is a gray, drizzly day. Currently at 11:00 a.m., we are at 61°F and quite cloudy. There is a chance of rain this morning but a greater one this afternoon when our temps will climb to about 64°F for the high and we will experience steady rains and thunder. It sounds like a typical spring day even though the first day of spring is actually two weeks away. Two Weeks! I’m really looking forward to spring….I am so tired of the cold this year. Trees and plants are coming back to life in full force….before we know it there will be warmer temps and sunny days….as well as the yellow/green…

Outside My Window ~ 2.14.11
Outside My Window…is a dark yet rather nice evening. Our temperature at 7:30 pm is 63°F and there are some decent winds blowing outside, but can I tell you what an amazing day today was? Well, going to anyway….we had a high of 69°F today with blue skies and sunshine. And yes, the wind was blowing somewhat, but 69° baby! It was wonderful to walk outside and feel the warmth….20° above our norm for this time of year. You couldn’t have asked for a sweeter day in the middle of February. It was like a coming attraction for spring….you know, this is what you can expect soon ~ stay tuned. But…

Back to School??
Today I received some very exciting news! A chance for my newly launched photography business to take off….a golden opportunity….the prospect of acquiring several new clients all at once….but at the same time, news that made me want to hurl my breakfast. Seriously….that bad. I have been thinking about this all morning and telling myself I would be crazy not to do this….crazy! And again….breakfast acts like it wants to make an appearance again ~ an appearance I would rather not experience. So I decide to send an email to my trusty assistant….aka my “seester”. (Some names or words have been changed to protect identities.) Guess what….”She” gave my cards to a school she does “business” for and they want…

Outside My Window ~ 2.6.11
Outside My Window…is another gorgeous Sunday morning. We have blue skies, sunshine and 45°F at 11:15 a.m.. Our high today won’t be much warmer than it is right now…a little chilly but hovering around our average temperature and it doesn’t feel too bad in the sunshine. We did have quite a bit of rain yesterday morning ~ key word, rain. We have been fortunate to miss the ice and snow everyone else seems to be getting but there is a chance of snow this coming Thursday. That is several days off so I won’t be worrying about it for a few days. I am thinking…about all the things I would like…
